Event Details

RedMonk Brew London:The Monki Gras is the event that brings together two of your favourite things – amazing craft beer, and truly great speakers.

We’re bringing you a program of outstanding content, but you won’t just be geeking out with folks like Jason Hoffman, CTO of Joyent, you’ll also be tasting some of the world’s finest beers.

The speaker lineup also includes Andre Charland, founder of the Phonegap project, Dave McRory from the VMWare cloudfoundry architecture team, and Greg Avola, founder of Untappd, the beer check in network. We also have Matt Biddulph, Lisa Riechelt, and Mike Milinkovich, executive director of the Eclipse Foundation. Then there's Matt LeMay, Bitly platform director and Laura Merling, developer rabble rouser at Alcatel Lucent.

Oh yeah- and the RedMonk guys.

We’ll be exploring how technology is changing the way we socialise and how the way we socialise is influencing the way we build and use technology.  We believe people, not industrial processes, need to be at the center of application development. the Monki Gras celebrates craft – craft beer, and craft tech.

Following tech tracks on Day One, we’ll be settling in for a night of beer tasting and outstanding food. We’ll focus on showcasing the UK’s burgeoning craft beer startup scene, though one or two Belgian brews may make an appearance.

Pretty much everybody at our inaugural show complained we didn’t have a Day Two. So we’re planning for an optional half day  - expect extraordinary coffee, hangover cures and great conversations about all the stuff we learned on Day. We call this the Tonsure of The Dog Day.
